7/21/2003 8:30pm, Beverley Beach State Park to Honeyman State Park, 63.67 miles
Don't have too much time to write today after arriving a little at camp (after we had a nice sitdown lunch at a restaurant called "Blue Hen"). Today was probably the smoothest day of my trip thus far. There were hills, saddle sores, and narrow roads, but with a good tailwind it was all smooth sailing! It could have been better though. We were supposed to ride through some of the most scenic sections along the coast; we had even planned to ride up steep Cape Perpetua. Alas, a heavy fog (the first of the trip) remained with us most of the day. Overall, we still had a very pleasant ride though and stopped by several places, including Cape Perpetua Visitor Center, Strawberry Hill (seals), Seal Rock (birds), Sea Lion caves, and Darlington Botanical Gardens.
